Something ominous creeps amongst the fallen leaves. It likes to lurk around the city and has a taste for hijinks, magic and …sweet treats? Get ready Ottawa, because two not-so-spooky Halloween events are coming your way at the Billings Estate National Historic Site and the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30!

Detectives needed at Billings Estate

Sally Billing’s 200th birthday party is coming up and the monsters at Billings Estate need your help. All the treats they prepared for the party have gone missing! You can help get Sally’s birthday bash back on track by assisting the monsters in catching the culprit. Explore the museum grounds while completing engaging puzzles, games and activities along the way in a fun self-guided adventure for the family.

Registration is $20 for a group of up to six people. You can register online at Ottawa.ca/BillingsEstate.

Get up to some Halloween Hijinks

Cumberland Heritage Village Museum’s resident poltergeist is back celebrating Halloween in the only way they know how: with some fun pranks and illusions! Join the celebrations by exploring the family-friendly maze, trying out some crafts and activities, or even checking out the two special guests: magician Chris Pilsworth and stilt walker Luciano Lu.

Registration is $21.50 for a group of up to six people. You can register online at Ottawa.ca/CumberlandMuseum.

Advance registration is required for both events, so be sure to secure your spot today. And don’t forget to rock your costume the day of!
