让我想起老家，从村子这一边的炮楼出发，到村子那一边的水井到头，中间生活着世世代代贫苦的生活。真想自己有一天有力量改变这些生活在我们不能想象的物质条件下的人。
而在物质生活充裕的加拿大，我们是不是应该把时间用来做一些更有意义的事情呢？正如我相信好的书不是那些看了让我发呆半天的，而是让我立刻站起来做点什么的。
这也是我的祖国，就好象 Sam，Pippin和Frodo离开Bag End时回望，这是我们度过整一个人生的被繁茂树林围绕的小郡。

Actually, this is the typical part of our country. If you ever travelled outside of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other so-called developed cities, you'll know what I mean.

Please stop sending those pics, Wanchen. Those are only minor problems, and our officials are working day and night to fix it. Similar problems exist in US as well.

We are already a rich and strong country. We have sent Shenzhou V up to the space, we spent billions on theaters and dams, and maybe tens of billions on luxury cutting-edge railway system. So, please forget the pictures and focus on the bright future, when the GDP per capita is as high as that of US.

只是贫富比例有点不正常。据说专家公布的那个反映贫富差距的什么指数，某些社会出奇的高。
更糟糕的是，这种趋势在过去的十年里持续加大，在未来的十年里，也看不到下降的可能。
