1970年代后期，他退役国家队后在美国南部的宇宙队踢球，到访过北京、在先农坛体育场做过表演—-在球门一角挂个白手绢、连踢十脚，几乎脚脚命中。惊呆了一众。展现了世界球王的功底。
那时的国脚，十次也未必能踢中一次。
