如果这个官司Ottawa失败了,加上LRT 窟窿,city不破产也会狠狠加地税,是时候搬家了,不行搬河对面去。
At travel hubs, hotels and malls across the city, taxi drivers waiting for fares are watching and breaking down the long-awaited industry lawsuit against the City of Ottawa.
The $215 million lawsuit alleges the city did not take reasonable steps to protect taxi plate owners when it approved Uber as its first ride-hailing company to legally operate in September 2016.
Plates, issued by the city, are required to drive a cab. Their numbers are limited, so plate owners planned their retirement on the idea they could sell them for a considerable sum. That changed after Uber entered the market.
