Mayor Mark Sutcliffe will host an armchair discussion at City Hall on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event will be co-hosted by Councillor Ariel Troster, Council Liaison for Women, Gender Equity and 2SLGBTQ+ Affairs.
Before the presentation, Councillor Troster will describe her role as Council Liaison for Women, Gender Equity and 2SLGBTQ+ Affairs. Interim City Manager Wendy Stephanson will also speak about women in leadership positions as the first interim female City Manager since amalgamation in 2001.
Guest speakers will include Louisa Taylor, Director of Refugee 613, Sharon Nyangweso, Founder and CEO of QUAKELAB, and Karla Briones, Entrepreneur and Consultant, Karla Briones Consulting.
