1. We may have the absolute best train system on paper. It’s just that it doesn’t do well once humans get near it. It’s been in crisis more often than not.

2. As well, you should always underpromise and overdeliver. Empathize, too. But don’t play the old “pity poor us” card by describing how hard you’re working on the problem. We don’t care. We just want the trains to work.

3. Heck, it can’t even commit to refund pass-holders for a system that’s not working. How many businesses would survive charging an arm and a leg for something that’s only reliable in its unreliability?

4. I don’t know how to say this nicely, but it’s the exact opposite of what’s needed. Also? I can’t possibly be the only person in Ottawa who doesn’t know what “bearing play within the axle hub” actually means. That’s anti-useful. Maybe some really simple diagrams?
