Ontario Chess Challenge渥太华地区选拔赛将于1月13日在RA Center举办
WHO: Student K - to G.12. Sections may be combined if depending on the registration.
A student can play in his/her school grade section or any section(s) above that.
FORMAT: 5 round Swiss pairings.
TIME CONTROL: 25 minutes + 5 seconds increment
ROUNDS: 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm & 4:00pm; check in starts from 11:30am
RULES: Player arriving 10 minutes late gets a "0" point bye.
BYE: 1 half point bye is allowed in rounds 1 to 4 requested the day before the tournament.
TIE-BREAKS: (1) Performance of Opposition (2) Win count (3) Head-to-head
QUALIFICATION AWARDED: 1 out of 10 players (or more) per grade will be qualified to OCC 2024 in April. Students will be qualified only playing in his/her own grade section.
RATINGS&PRIZES: Rated by Chess’n Math Association (CMA), Trophies and Medals for the top three.
ENTRY FEES: $30/Player
