Metro expects to hike the prices of some food again in February once the traditional annual price-freeze that occurs between November and February comes to an end, CEO Eric La Fleche says in a media call. "The cost freeze is coming to an end, and there will be some increases in retail coming into effect [in February]," La Fleche says. While he says Metro is negotiating with suppliers and trying to delay increases as much as possible, he says he expects prices will rise mid-single digit "or there-about" starting in February, and occurring over time.
