Garbage. It’s not pretty, and it's not something we tend to spend a lot of time talking about or thinking about. Most days, there are more pressing issues demanding our attention. The price of groceries. The kids’ summer camp schedule. Life is a lot, we get it. It’s challenging to plan for the future in the now. So here’s why it’s worth taking a moment to tell the City what you think of its draft Waste Plan.
It’s quick
The survey only takes about five to ten minutes to complete. Here’s an example of a question: What do you think is the most important issue facing the City in the next 30 years that is addressed in the Waste Plan?
It’s easy
All you have to do is visit EngageOttawa. There you will find background information, a summary of the waste plan and of course the survey itself.
It’s timely
The Waste Plan will guide how the City deals with garbage and recycling over the next 30 years. This survey is your opportunity to tell City Council what they think of the Waste Plan before they vote on it a few months from now.
It’s about your priorities
What you tell us in the survey will help guide priorities for staff as they develop the implementation plans that will put the Waste Plan into action.
It’s about being heard
Which actions do you support the most in the Solid Waste Master Plan? Which actions may be difficult for you to participate in? Your feedback helps us understand what your needs are.
To stay up to date, sign up for the Solid Waste Master Plan eNewsletter and visit Engage Ottawa.
