Applications for the 2024 #ottmusic programs are now open
Feature Story
Music is the universal language, and our #ottmusic programs give voice to local artists. Applications are now open for local musicians who want their song featured in this year’s #ottmusic programs: Music on Hold and City Sounds.
Discover the strength and diversity of Ottawa's music scene through City Sounds
The Music on Hold program plays local music to callers on the City of Ottawa’s phone system (3-1-1) while they are on hold. This year, up to 25 songs will be selected by a committee of musicians and industry professionals. City Sounds is a streamable playlist that showcases the talent and diversity of Ottawa's music scene. Visit ottawa.ca/ottmusic to listen to the 2023 Music on Hold and City Sounds playlists.
March is Francophonie Month in Ottawa. We encourage local Francophone musicians and groups to submit their work to help us celebrate the local Francophone music scene.
Applications for the #ottmusic programs are open until Friday, April 5. To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years or older and Ottawa artists. You can learn more about how to apply by visiting ottawa.ca/ottmusic.
For more information on City programs and services, visit ottawa.ca, call 3-1-1 (TTY: 613-580-2401) or 613-580-2400 to contact the City using Canada Video Relay Service. You can also connect with us through Facebook(link is external), Twitter(link is external) and Instagram(link is external).
