受疫情和其他因素影响中断近六年的加华杯乒乓球比赛，经过两天紧张激烈的角逐，于周日（5月5日）晚上十点半许在渥太华乒乓俱乐部（OTTC）落下她的第十一届赛事帷幕。曾为巴西青年（18岁以下）冠军、现在OTTC 执教（练）的Rafael Brandao荣获冠军，来自伊拉克、和法国并代表过所在地区（国家）参加过重大比赛的Mohammed Ali 和Jonathan Blay, 分别获亚军和季军，殿军为江苏籍的李星星，並列第5名的分别是刘伟，王浩，弓胜利和王炼（排名不分先后）。
女子组的冠军为多次参加加华杯的刘东，亚军为初次参赛的十一岁小朋友Tiffany Liu，並列第3名的是Yuming Zhao 和Zhuyi Qin.
本次比赛的B组是在第一阶段小组赛后每组第四及以后的选手间按淘汰赛进行的。 B组的前四名分别是刘克勇，郑志明，Danny Liu 和高如东。
以上优胜选手均获由组委会颁发的奖牌。部分优胜选手还获由RA Center Capital Sport商店赠送的三星国际比赛用球。公开组的前三名，还分别获得200 100和50加元的奖金，。
这场由渥太华中国校友会汇同多家乒乓球俱乐部联合举办的社区体育比赛，吸引了50多位乒乓球爱好者参加。小小的乒乓球，由于共同的爱好，把不同族裔、不同肤色、不同文化宗教背景、不同年龄、不同球技水准的人们，聚集在一起。大家同台竞技，拼球技，拼智慧，拼毅力，也拼风格；大家每球必争，又相互尊重，宽容体谅。整个比赛大厅洋溢着即紧张热烈又友好和谐的气氛。
组委会衷心感谢所有参赛选手的积极参与；感谢OTTC提供比赛场地；感谢耿丽娟乒乓球学校提供比赛用球；感谢赞助商的慷慨支助；感谢志工们的辛勤奉献。
“加华杯”乒乓球单打比赛，自1999年由渥太华中国校友会创办以来（时称“校友杯”），曾举办过十届。其冠军分别为来自北京的肖兵；出生于北京的，时为渥太华大学的女学生郑蓓蓓；前柬埔寨国家青年队选手Beron Sam，越南华裔肖伟祥分别两次获得冠军; 越南华裔谭濂，来自河南的小将靳童，以及前两届来自台北的兄妹，哥哥陈昱濠和妹妹陈昱璇。

The 11th "Jiahua Cup" Table Tennis Tournament was successfully concluded

After a six-year hiatus due to the pandemic and other factors, the11th Jiahua Cup table tennis tournament ended at the Ottawa Table Tennis Club (OTTC) at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday (May 5) after two days of intense competition. Rafael Brandao, a former Brazilian youth champion (under 18) and now coach of OTTC, won the championship, Mohammed Ali and Jonathan Blay, who are from Iraq and France and have represented their regions (countries) in major competitions, won the second and third places respectively, the fourth place was Li Xingxing from Jiangsu, and Liu Wei, Wang Hao, Gong Shengli and Wang Lian (in no particular order) tied for fifth place.
The champion of the women's group was Liu Dong, who has participated in the Jiahua Cup many times, and the runner-up was Tiffany Liu, an 11-year-old child who participated in the competition for the first time; Tied for third place are Yuming Zhao and Zhuyi Qin.
Group B of this competition is played as a knockout round between the fourth and subsequent players in each group after the first group stage. The top four winners in Group B are Liu Keyong, Zheng Zhiming, Danny Liu and Gao Rudong.
The above winners were awarded medals by the organizing committee. Some of the winners also received Three Star table tennis balls from the RA Center Capital Sport Store. The top three finishers in the open category also received $200, $100 and $50 respectively.
This community sports event, jointly organized by the Ottawa Association of Chinese-Canadian University Alumni (OACCUA) and a number of table tennis clubs, attracted more than 50 table tennis enthusiasts. The small table tennis ball brings together people of different ethnicities, different skin colors, different cultural and religious backgrounds, different ages, and different skill levels. Everyone competes on the same hall, fights for skills, wisdom, perseverance, and style; everyone fights for every point, but also respects each other, being tolerant and considerate. The whole competition hall was filled with a tense and warm yet a friendly and harmonious atmosphere.
The organizing committee would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to all the athletes for their active participation, OTTC for providing the game venue, Geng Lijuan Table Tennis Academy for providing the competition balls, sponsors for their generous support, and volunteers for their hard work.
Since its establishment in 1999 by OACCUA (then known as the "Alumni Cup"), the "Jiahua Cup" table tennis singles competition has been held for 11 sessions. The champions were Xiao Bing from Beijing, Zheng Beibei, a female student from the University of Ottawa who was born in Beijing, Beron Sam, a former Cambodian national youth team member, and Xiao Weixiang, a Chinese-Vietnamese athlete, both who won the championship twice. Vietnamese-Chinese Tan Lian, young player Jin Tong from Henan, and brother and sister Chen Yuhao and sister Chen Yuxuan from Taipei in the previous two terms.
