S开头的如swank, B开头的如boast, brag, bluff(虚张声势）……记住谁吹牛谁是SB就能轻松记住前面这几个词哈哈哈

“吹牛”虽然不可完全直译为blow a cow,

但用blow开头吹点别的也是可以的，比如blow hot air, blow one’s own horn都有自吹自擂的意思。

特别是blow horn, 大家都看过古装片，无论中外，欢迎王族/自家军队那就必须吹响号角的，所谓“东风吹战鼓擂”，blow one’s own horn就是自吹自擂自嗨哈哈哈
