The at-large members reflect a range of ages, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives but share a commitment to supporting the Nightlife Commissioner Office in growing Ottawa’s nightlife economy.

Establishing a Nightlife Council is part of Ottawa’s Nightlife Economy Action Plan. It is a department-led working group that will provide advice and feedback to the Nightlife Commissioner Office on the vibrancy of Ottawa’s nightlife economy and the advancement of nightlife best practices, policies, safety programs and promotion.

Membership on the Nightlife Council is voluntary and unpaid. The membership term is two years. The council will meet four times a year with the first meeting taking place before the end of 2024.
