Our #ottmusic programs are here to give local artists a platform to shine!
Applications are now open for local musicians who want their music featured in this year’s #ottmusic programs: Music on Hold and City Sounds.
The Music on Hold program plays local music to callers on the City of Ottawa’s phone system (3-1-1) while they are on hold. This year, up to 25 songs from local artists will be selected by a committee of musicians and industry professionals to be featured on the phone system later this spring. City Sounds is a dynamic streamable playlist that highlights the incredible talent and diversity of Ottawa's music scene. This program provides a platform for local musicians to introduce and share their songs with a wider audience on this Ottawa playlist. Check out the 2024 playlist here and enjoy the sounds of our city!
March is Francophonie Month in Ottawa. We encourage local Francophone musicians and groups to submit their work to help us celebrate the local Francophone music scene.
Applications for the #ottmusic programs are open until Thursday, April 3. To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years or older and Ottawa artists. You can learn more about how to apply by visiting ottawa.ca/ottmusic.
