The Rideau Canal Skateway is closed.

Note: The National Capital Commission (NCC) wishes to advise the public that the Rideau Canal remains closed and that it is currently dangerous to venture onto the Rideau Canal ice surface. The NCC urges everyone to keep personal safety in mind and to stay off the Rideau Canal until the official opening announcement of the 34th season of the world’s longest skating rink.Those not heeding the warning are subject to a fine.
