while on Christmas vacation, a few observations got my dumb brain spinning....
1. dropped by BestBuy, surprised to see APEX brand electronics other than DVD players..such as TV..quality is comparable..and price is, as you know, very 'competitive'.. only few years ago..people associate MadeInChina to cloths/toys etc.. now it is electronics (DVD player, USB storage, MP3 player, TV, speakers, routers....now u see this leads to..)
2. read an article on Business 2.0 magazine, it predicts that in 10 years, NA companies like Lucent will be system integrator for Huawei..bcz they simply cannot compete. BTW, Lucent is already changing its business model towards service nowdays..
3. 3Com took the risk by partnering with Huawei..well looking at the latest result, it seems that paid off..
4. a few more observations..but probably too much high tech related..
now what i am leading to is the following:
- remember the franchise called "MadeInJapan"...this is one idea
- another one to consider is to system integrator
