第一天上班的orientation[问题]

第一天上班的orientation，是不是orientate之后就回家了？
应该注意些什么呢？还要dress formal么？
很紧张也很害怕

Yes, the orientation is about 4 to 8 hours or maybe 5 min (well, that is in the military, not really a job in a regular sense). But anyway, sometimes they keep you there for a whole shift to let you try some of the work.

Just dress warm. It is cold outside. It doesn't matter that much, neat and clean will do.

it's a full-time job...my first formal job...that's why i'm so nervous

Orientation program is provided for new employee to get started.
Normally it will take place on the first day of work. It may include some history of the company, the main products developed/developing, organizarion structure and basic facilities provided.

You should stay for the whole work day in office because you get paid for the whole day not just the orientation.
