5年前推广的9速变速箱省油却可靠性降低，和厂家无关。和早期节能灯一样容易出故障，节能不节钱。

丰田和本田也是9速变速箱，只不过制造和设计较好，降低9速变速箱的故障率而已。

曾几何，丰田Corolla市场占有率最高,后来被本田Civic超越。问题出在，上个世纪70年代神级发动机被省油的新款发动机取代。省油却故障率高。

有个帖子说，2002年日本最顶级工程师们退休后，车辆质量开始缓慢下滑。当制造工程师太辛苦了，新一代学生都转向白领行业，工程师青黄不接。
