Ottawa police stop 13-year-old driver out to get candy in Barrhaven

Ottawa police say they put an end to a slow-going candy-run in Barrhaven on Thursday morning.

According to a post on the social media site X by Ottawa police, officers pulled over a vehicle that was moving slowly on Strandherd Drive to find that the vehicle was being driven by a 13-year-old.

Police say the 13-year-old was accompanied by two passengers of similar age, and they told officers they were out to get candy from a gas station.
