Description
Looking for an energetic, analytical individual to work with an autistic child in a private setting. Must be able to work one-on-one with the child and contribute ideas to the team that is delivering therapy.
Must have an aptitude for teaching, ability to motivate and reinforce the child and a strong commitment to working with the child’s team to develop suitable behavioral and academic programming.
You should have or be working towards a degree in psychology or a related field dealing with teaching or child development. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and operant conditioning considered an asset. Candidates with a strong interest in psychology and child development without the formal education will be considered. You must be willing to take part in extensive training, ongoing workshops and team meetings.
