Who have idea about sublet

<HTML>I will move out after Jan 1, the lease have over 1 month, but now, I want to sublet, the landlord ask me pay 100$ sublet fee? who has the idea about this kind fee? against law?

BTW, the landlord ask to sign a new lease to increase the fee, up to 9%.

<HTML>100$ sublet fee is based on the lease and by-law. and you should pay for it. coz the lease has over 1 month, I don't think you need sublet. and the new tenant must sign a new lease, whatever the same price or not.</HTML>

<HTML>Yh, the lease term is from Dec 1,2000 to Nov 30,2001. But I have not informed landlord two months in advance. Today I just inform them I will move out this month end. How can I get last month deposit?

<HTML>Usual if you can find somebody to occupy your apartment, and the new tenant will sign a new lease, you can get your deposit from the new tenant. Otherwise coz you didn't follow the rule, you can't get your money back. take it easy.
