$1080 CND, Ottawa<->LaGuardia<->JFK<->Beijing<->Shanghai. Air China. Need to change airport at New York City (LaGuardia<->JFK). They have inter-airport bus services (US$11) in NYC. Just spent the past Spring Festival in Shanghai. Other time should be even cheaper.
