BEIJING - China marked United Nations anti-drug day by executing 64 people accused of drug crimes.
Many of the executions were carried out immediately after public rallies where thousands of people watched judges condemn the accused.
Officials from the UN say they do not condone the action.
Another 188 people also accused of drug crimes, were sentenced to life in prison.
