i am actually in production operatons. i have my CPIM certification, and hopefully to get PMP soon. I look forward to getting a CMA after. I do not know whether it will make sense and it is feasible.

My goal is to become a senior biz analyst or buiness manager at the corporate level. I do not think degree will add me more advantage. Well, i do have a Masters already.

It would be a great joy if someone can give me an head-up. We can have a toast together if it works out.

Thanks in advance. You can contact me at fan_gao55@yahoo.com or drop your contact here. Appreciated.

去读一个Queen's MBA吧, 一举两得, 可以同时获得CMA. 不过, 很辛苦的, 三思而行啊.

thx, but i will not pursue a MBA unless it is absolutely necessary

my friend just graduated from U of T MBA. This is his second degree from Canada. He landed a job with entry level analyst. And I know he is really good.

i do not think i will do it simply because all my managers get promted from the floor. Even though, i started from the office but my outstanding plus performance from last year's review was not attribute to my work in the office but largely from my significant work on the floor.

i believe this is path where i will go up to the top rather than staying in the school unless it is really a good school. i have my Masters in Management already. I was lucky that my supervisor was the leading researcher from US but to be honest, what B-shool is selling to those pre-MBA with an hefty price tag is simply a scam.

having said this, even the only school that i am really interested in going, MIT, is fully of chinese students who are short of working experience.

Kentridge: You points are absolutely right. Don't go to a regular B-school that is full of just-graduated 24-year-olds. Go to a professional school that require minimum 5-8 years management experience. Your original question was about CMA - you have to know that CMA is actually more on management than on accounting. Queen's EMBA is good for several reasons - first, it will offer you CMA at the same time you earn an MBA; second, it is for management level students, who are already adults, have sound management experience;(think about the potential of senior level network you will develop among your classmates). third, you can earn the degree while working. At least that is the MBA that I used to know from a few years ago. Check it out - you have nothing to lose by learning more about it.

While I agree with you that classmates that are short of working experience will not give you lot of value, I don't think having chinese students in class should be a problem.

what is wrong with chinese students? If MIT accept them, which means they are qualified.
And having chinese students in the class does not bring down the value of any MBA degree.
Do not try to find excuse for your lacking of confidence. I guess you just do not want to waste $50 application fee.
