If you need an emission test, you will receive a letter from ontario transportation 3-4 month before your plate expried. If you did not, it menas you don't have too.
The cars matchs the following cratia will be required an emission test:
1. more than 3 less than 20 years old.
2. even year modle in odd year or vice versa. (e.g. Model 97 will need a test in year 2004 but not 2005).
