However, how many people are using Solaris in companies? Many small
and middle companies are using Linux
because it is cheap. Have a look at
the financial report of rhat. Most
academic institutions favor Linux
too. Then, the students will use
Linux too. I have not used for
quite a few years.

Unix is almost dead. It is too late
for Sun to shake Linux. It can not do
it too except it buys a Linux company
like Rhat. NOVL bought Suse last year.
That is only way for it to live longer.

I loaded at 8.2 and sold at 13.9. Sold too early.
My point is that Red Hat is a good company with potential growth but the share price is a little bit
higher. The P/E is around 400, if I am not wrong. If you like Linux, you may consider Novell too.
I guess in the future Linux will be dominated by Novell and Red Hat.
