Premium rate is 2.1%
Maximum insurable earnings are $39,000
Maximum employee contribution is $819.00
Maximum employer contribution is $1,146.60

EI premiums rate for 2004

Premium rate is 1.98%
Maximum insurable earnings are $39,000
Maximum employee contribution is $772.20
Maximum employer contribution is $1,081.08

if you lost the job, you will get 55% of your earning. (max 412 per week)

第一次领EI要有910小时的工作（你要付EI,你的老板也要付EI).
可以领多久要看当时的失业率，
你可以找其他的理由去延长这个时间。

我改成中文重新写，因为英文太差，

可以，但失业的原因必须是人家认可的几种，
比如，Layoff等，不能自己辞职。

因为EI是失业保险，保险能随便拿吗。
