On Saturday, April 24, the Ottawa Valley Astronomers and Observers Group (OAOG) will be presenting a free outdoor event to coincide with International Astronomy Day. This is an all day event, starting at 10 am and lasting until at least 10 pm, weather permitting. It will be held beside Chapters at Blair and Ogilvie, near the SilverCity Cinema.
Come to safely view the sun during the day and see the exhibits. Then, in the evening, come back for a show of the moon, planets and more! Saturn, Jupiter and Venus should all be visible. There will be lots of telescopes of all sizes available through which to look.
Bring the whole family! It's a great opportunity to see the heavens.
