Need power converter from 110V to 220V. Who knows where I can get a cheap one? MIllions of thanks.

I mean cheap one. RadioShack sells it for 70$+TAX. Whether there is a Chinese store sells a cheaper one?

From radioshack.ca web:

50-WATT FOREIGN TRAVEL AC CONVERTER 273-1412 $34.99
1600-WATT FOREIGN TRAVEL AC CONVERTER 273-1404 $36.9

Really thank you for the information. What you mentioned are for 220/240v to 110v. What I need is for 110v to 220v (Asian electonic product).

Again, I strongly urge you to use google. On the same radioshack.ca website, this is what I found:

STEPDOWN CONTINUOUS USE FOREIGN TRAVEL AC POWER CONVERTER 273-8028 $39.99

Stepdown continuous use foreign travel AC power converters for overseas travel. Allows you to run 110VAC electronic products in foreign countries that have 240VAC power. Maximum 85-watts

This is for bring your electronic products manufactured here in North America, to foreign countries.

What he/she wanted is the revers one. I guess he/she bring some electronics from China, and want to use it here...

I was in same position sometime ago, and end up buy one from China. Other options could be either buy the expensive one from Radio Shack, or goto that shop on Merivale Rd. (I forgot the name, Advance Compnents or sth, just north of kirkwood.) to build one yourself :)

Read the above quote.

I brought a 1200W AC converter from China to here to be used on the Soy Milk Maker. Only later I found that a 1600W AC Converter is sold at only $39.99 at any Radio Shack, i.e. 1600W FOREIGN TRAVEL AC CONVERTER 273-1413

The STEPDOWN CONTINUOUS USE FOREIGN TRAVEL AC POWER CONVERTER would allow you to run 110VAC electronic products in foreign countries that have 240VAC power.

USE KEYWORDS: "foreign travel" on radioshack.ca

Thanks all for the information. I may give up the idea to use the electronic product from China. The stepup voltage converter price is out of the range of my imagination.
Anyway, thanks all.

I apologize. The links I posted from radioshack.ca are not used to convert voltage from 110v to 220v. However I did see voltage converter (110V to 220V) on sale at Radio Shack stores for about $40 sometime ago.

There are dual power converters at very reasonable price at eBay.com, like this one:

or this one:

Once again, I'm sorry. :blowzy:
