In addition to helping residents become eligible for federal grants to reduce the energy consumption of older homes, it now offers a variety of energy-conserving products hard to find in local stores, including the latest compact fluorescent lights, hot water tank blankets, and ENERGY STAR?bathroom fans. To help the public deal with the recent increase in electricity rates, EnviroCentre also rents easy-to-use meters that might convince them to upgrade to a new fridge and save a bundle, as well as the Earth!
