精华 [请求] 草坪疾病

我最近发现后院的草坪出现了一小片沟壑一样的裸露部分。这部分的草很软，一扒就掉，而且似乎连草根都已经坏死。今天更在坏草的土里发现了许多像蚯蚓一样的虫子，青灰色，一小片土里就有很多。

我除了使用过带weed control的肥料外没有用过任何杀虫剂。

看了很多网上的资料，不得其所。请求大家的帮助：
1。何种疾病？
2。如何治疗？

这个就是吃草根的虫子。估计是草坪带来的。这个问题比较严重，上次俺们去上市政的课只听了看了，没有记住。这下可要请教专家了，因为这样的虫子还有两类，这两类的除去方法不相同，而且，这些虫子有生命周期，每年在不同的周期，根除的方法也不同…
记得讲课的老师来自恶岗昆，但是通过市政可以联系到她们。等俺查查当年组织活动的电话。

我在Home Depot买了一瓶好像叫 "Grub n Out"的杀虫剂($22+, Wal-Mart卖$26+), 是对付那种白色的虫子的. 是接在水管上喷的.
听说这种虫子冬天沉入地下深处, 4,5月份在地下浅层吃草根, 夏天变成蛾子. 秋天又变成虫子在地下. 所以应该现在打一次药, 秋天再打一次. 夏天和冬天都够不着它.

那种灰黑的虫子不知是什么.

另外还听说有人养一种特殊的植物, 是专门供给白虫子吃的. 然后它们就不吃草了. 我得去打听打听.

这种虫子叫European Chafer,用GrubOut就行.

Solutions for white grubs are found in numerous literatures both on the City of Ottawa website and Health Canada website.

The link YY posted includes natural solutions like arasitic nematodes which can kill white grubs. \

Back to my original problem: still don't know what caused the lawn damage.

Really? I did notice the problem back in the winter when there was still snow on the ground.

行者: do you have more details about this type of rodent?

Then that's it! My grass is also damaged by them too.
Talked to your old neighbours, and they should know the problem if they are here for long time.
For this kind of grass problems, your old (or senior) neighbours are always the first resource to consult with.

Unfortunately I bought my house new, in a brand new neighborhood.

Did you do anything for your damage? Did they come back the next winter?
