FWD is good in Winter and easy to handle (Most of Japs car)
RWD is not very good in Winter but fun to drive as it can spin(All of BMW platform use RWD)
4WD is perfect in Winter but you need to pay $$$ for gasline. (I used to drive a ML, extremely stable in snow, shall I say lack of better word "perfect")
Try some more SUV, and compare them. You will know what I am talking about.
Just my opinion of all the SUV i've tested.
1. Lexus RX -All wheel drive Camry
2. Jeep Limited -Truely American Truck and drinks a lot
3. ML320 -Good but drinks somehow a lot(car built in alabama)
4. X5 -Good but not really a SUV, it's more like a
5 series with big wheels and higher ground distance
also a good drinker
5. Nissan Murano- Good for the price and gas saver, plastic feel
