I guess you are wondering about the difference between
*Home-based business* and *Land-based business*.
I hope everyone knows the basic idea of a land-based business and
Home-based business is obivously saying is business at home. But it doesn't mean that the work must be staying at home taking phone calls or surfing the net and make pennys. It means the head office is located at home, it use part of your unused space in the house and make money out of that. You can have employee(s) if you want. They dont have to be located in your *office/house*.
Canadian Government encourages home-based business these days and quite a lot of Canadian is starting their own business at home since those companys enjoy a better tax treatment if they are home based.

partnership can be a group of more than 1 people in a fix number. We call it partnership.
partnership shares everything, it means you, as a partner, has a pecentage of the company( even 1 % ). Everyone shares the profit, the building, the expeneses, loses...
Then you might ask, each partner has its own share. Then what is the company like Microsoft, Nortel.. if you own their stocks, you are part of the company too.. partnership is usally held by a fix number of founder, owner. and their shares are not buyable in the public.
If you just share your wisdom, and NOT part of the company.Then you are not a partner, you are just an employee. If the company is depends on your wisdom to operate, you are called an key employee.
