You don't have to send your car to dealer
you don't have to send your car to a deal. I guess your car is a honda. Mime is honda accord 98. I had that main req indicator light up for almost a year or so. I just kept driving and did my regular services, aka changing oil. Actually the indicator lights up when the car reaches certain milage. I recently visited honda dealer and did a type_c service, which costed me about $170 (including two front brake pads). It was not too bad, since I fingured I should take a good care of my car. my point was literally, you don't need to worry about it, it happens when your car reaches certain amount of milage, that is all. nothing to worry about. If you had a dealer to do your maintaince, they would just check everything (well, not really), if everything was fine, they would use their computer to reset your inner clock of your car, kinda like an alerm, you will be noticed again some day later...
hope it helps!
