I've just been to Quebec city for the vitoria long weekend. Everything was good except I got two parking tickets.

My questions is if I have to pay for the tickets? (I live in Ottawa).

You avoid paying the ticket by

telling them you're a visitor. You should have gone to their city office and get the ticket stamped and cancelled.

you should pay it, don't take chance.
but if you never go to Quebec again, they can't do anything.

another way to do it: remove the plate after parking, so they can never write you a ticket, because there is no plate. they can not write ticket based on vin number. you can explain as your plate fell, if you ran into trouble by doing this.

know the rule well, so you can find the loophole.

I had one ticket in Quebec city 2 years ago, and I had never paid the shit. However, I have never been in trouble afterwards. Do not worry about this. Ontario and Quebec are in different traffic system, that's why you do not really have to worry about. The ticket never effects your lisence plate renewal, never effect if you wanna sell your vechile.

Throw the ticket away and forget about the shxxt.
