May 30 ? June 5 is Environment Week: take action for our environment!
As a kick-off to Environment Week, bring your household hazardous waste to the one-day depot on Saturday May 29. This is the third year for this very successful partnership event between the City of Ottawa and Natural Resources Canada and Public Works and Government Services Canada.
This depot provides a convenient way to help keep our environment free of materials such as turpentine, aerosol containers, fire extinguishers, insecticides, barbecue starters, propane tanks, and disinfectants. Attendants will unload the hazardous material from your car and dispose of it safely.
Date: Saturday, May 29
Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Natural Resources Canada parking lot between 405 Rochester Street and 550 Booth Street, just south of the Queensway
For more information on Environment Week, check http://www.ec.gc.ca/e-week/index_e.htm.
