听说redwood是最好材料,但比较贵.我们用的是"beautiful downtown North Gower"的red cedar.

Western Red Cedar also grow locally. Redwoord is rare here.

Really? I've called a few fence contractors, they all told me that their red cedar are imported from the West Coast, therefore more expensive than local white cedar. Hmmm, I'll call to find out more.

Have you tried Perkins lumber?

老外都说red cedar好。因为别的木头都经过化学处理，对有小孩和购得人家不太合适。可是这种木头也最贵。

I called Perkins Lumber, their red cedar is from the West Coast. Only white cedar is grown locally.
