It's summer. It's a good time to go out. If you are free on June 12th, Saturday, come to Upper Canada Village with friends from BLIA Ottawa.
You can learn about Canadian heritage at Upper Canada Village. It is very cultural, educational and fun! Do you know what it was really like to live and work in the 19th Century? The website provides some insights into some of the challenges and rewards of daily life in a small village in the 1860s. Of course, a better way to learn more is to visit Upper Canada Village and travel back in time! (http://www.uppercanadavillage.com/manufact.htm)
BLIA is a Buddhist organization serving Chinese and Asian community in Ottawa. This is the third time we organized the trip to Upper Canada Village. We will be going with a school bus. The fee is only $20 per person, $10 for the bus and $10 for the admission fee.
The trip is open to anyone who is interested in going, regardless of age, ethnics and religion. We will take school bus at 1950 Scott st, (near Westboro transit station). We will leave at 8am and be back in Ottawa at 6pm. On the way to Upper Canada Village, we will also visit a flea market.
We are friendly people and we can assure you that you will have a good time at Upper Canada Village. If you are coming alone, it is perfectly fine. If you are coming with friends, then the more the merrier.
