paint公司算法是，0.5/per sft +100 per extra color, I have 7 colors, the company can give me this price if I pay in cash

我觉得还好.我当初问过,差不多的面积要1800.

Do not always look at price. Most times, cheaper price means low quality.

I don't know too much about painting price for residental work, but for commerical work 0.5/sf for contact area is a resonable price. The price they quote (0.5/sf) is based on floor area, so their actual price for contact area is probably around 0.2-0.3/sf. I would say that's not a crazy price, but you'd better to get at least three quotes before making decision.

I would suggest to do it by yourself. I never painted anything before I started to paint one of bedrooms two weeks ago. It's simple and easy. There are tons of instruction. All you need to do is to purchase all tools, materials, and do what the manual asks you to do. By the way, you can get a very good instruction(The ads of Martha Steward paint) in Canadian Tire.

When I painted the bedroom, I also installed the crowned mouldings. I have to say, it looks very good...

Some builders suggest not painting new house in the first year because the house settles down in this period and may have pop-ups to be fixed at one year anniversary. In that case you need to repaint that part of the house - builder is not responsible for that.
