Ask advice for getting TN visa

One requirement for obtaining TN visa is that the job title must be on the professional job list. Since "Software Developer" is NOT on the list, that means people with job offer of Software Developer is NOT qualified to apply for TN visa?

"Engineer" is on the list. If you get an offer with "Engineer" but you hold a Computer Science degree, is it OK for you to get TN visa?

Do you have advice about how to get a TN visa provided you get a job offer but the job is NOT on the professional job list?

Did you get the job offer? Get the offer then you will be able to know it by then.

The job should last only less than one year too because the TN visa is only good for one year and needs to be extened annaully.

If the company has experience regarding the offer for TN, you are fine.
If not, you need to "train" the HR person on how to write a proper offer letter.
BTW, TN is not a visa. It's actually a workpermit.

I got an offer with Engineer title but I have NO engineer degree (actually I hold a computer science degree). How should I be prepared to succeed to get TN status?

In USA, CS is Engeering Degree. Man, only Canada use some Engineering System. You can call yourself Engineer in US, and nobody cares.

Remember though, if you got an civial engeering job, but your degree in CS, then you are in troulble, but if you got EE job and you are in CS, then you can bulsh about they are the same thing bah...

there is one in Toronto. American once again invaded Canada. there is No Canadian custom in USA. kick invaders.

i think you should ask a Real　Ｌａｗｙｅｒ. There are ways to get around it, such as the company give you a job with different title. it is lying but, NoBody checks, unlike H1 law.

most likely, you can not get TN. without any good working history, you will not even get a H1.

Yes you can. I haven't finished my CS degree and I have a civil engineering degree. I already lost count on how many times I went up to boarder to renew my TN status
