Description: Join the Ministry of Community and Social Services/Ministry of Children and Youth Services, community and social services programs division, I&IT branch, to provide senior technical support and expertise for the various components of the service delivery model technology system. You will: resolve technical problems; consult on new, enhanced systems; participate in analysis, design, development, maintenance of front-end, middle-tier, back-end components through consultations/programming; analyse approaches to systems migration; test fixes; guide development/operational staff.
Qualifications: experience in applications/technical support, working with technology standards/guidelines, network infrastructure technologies, IBM mainframe, PC-based/Wintel computer environments, application software (AION, DB2, SQL, JavaScript, Visual Basic, C++, COBOL II, MS/IIS, ASP, HTML, COM/COMTI, SNA, MTS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, CICS, MVS, Business Objects), performance monitoring tools, systems testing methodologies, project planning; communication, analytical/problem- solving, interpersonal skills.
