Try this.
When my in-laws were visiting, they wanted to have hardboard to sleep on. I got 10 storage boxes from IKEA (link below)

You line them up in two columes, 5 each colume, you have a super hard bed size 150cm x 200 cm. Just cover with one blanket. After this temporary use, you can rearrange the 10 boxes, they are wonderful for storage, and they can be used as benchs to sit on, or coffee table (if you put two together), or as an ottoman if you put a seating pad on it. It cost 19.99 each, but now online promotion is only 9.99 (I didn't get it though). It comes in natural colour, but you can paint it later on with whatever colour you like.

there is one store to sell the firmest mattress on colonnade road. The mattress called rock something and you can see it after getting the store. I forget whose name. Maybe it is sleep factory. I will check it after getting home.
