Special Canada Day Citizenship Ceremony
Grand Hall, Canadian Museum of Civilization Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, will preside at a special Citizenship Ceremony, during which 50 new Canadians will receive their citizenship. The public is welcome to attend and to reaffirm their commitment to Canada by repeating the Oath of Citizenship along with the new Canadians.

Join the Governor General, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Canadian Heritage and the thousands of Canadians on Parliament Hill as some of our finest artists from across the country perform on centre stage. This year, the theme will highlight Acadia: First Dialogues ― The Meeting of Two Worlds. We will celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Acadia and commemorate the contributions of Aboriginal people. Thrill to the Snowbirds and cheer Canadian performers. Come and salute Canada’s 137th birthday!
