请问BELL的dsl怎么样？（并请教技术问题）

经不住推销人员的再三劝阻，今日收到bell 的modem 有如下问题

1）怎么样
2）光盘上的软件不能在 中文版本的 xp下运行，怎么解决（bell的技术人员说必须更换window版本，呵呵，笑话？？）
3）rogers的modem拿到手，接上电源就通了（光盘没用），为什么bell的就不行？（能看到本地连接100mhz正常！）需要密码帐号？在那里输入密码帐号？

you dont need to install bell software under windows xp

just go
Network Connections -->
Create a new connection -->
Connect to Internet -->
Setup Connection manually -->
Connecting using a boardband that require username and password -->
Input your ISP name, User and password.
done

everything exactly same as you are using dialup
click the connection you created, go online and browsing internet

1)不知道你要说什么
2),可以装RASPPOE,freeware,比BELL的那个access manager好
3)因为BELL是ADSL,Rogers是以太网,在ACCESS manager或者RASPPPOE里面输入你的用户和密码

那个软件不是不能在中文系统下运行，是你让光盘自动运行，他执行的是个安装引导程序。可以直接去光盘上运行真正的那个access manager的安装程序。在哪里我忘了，好像在一个english的目录下面。

I never used the bell software.
normally for windows 98 / windows 2000 system, I will use rsapppoe to access bell sympatico
for linux I will use integrated pppoe with scripts /etc/ppp/dslprovider to access
for XP pppoe support already there, so simply use it.

One thing you need to take care is the MTU value if you want to share sympatico connection
with LAN users, you should reconfig it to 1452 instead of default 1492

问一下各位用BELL的ADSL的，你们在收到EMAIL确认后一般多少天能收倒MODEM的？我打电话去问也不给个确切时间，就说这两天会来的，靠！我已经等了两天了连个影子都没看到，什么态度啊？

BEll synpatico 在win xp 下不用安装软件 直接建立拨号就可以了 如果要安装软件必须是英文系统或者多语言版的system， 如果是在其他的系统下使用就必须是英文系统，如果在通过router 就不必须使英文系统 这是bell synpatico 的人说的。
