TN is harder to get this year. without proper docs, you will be rejected 100% this year. they used to let you have it even you only bring the offer letter.
i don't have TN myself, but i worked in several immigration firms. 1 in bj and 1 in usa and 1 in canada. i am in charge of many special cases that law firms do not want to touch, because either it is in grey area or the fee is so low that they don't care.
i take care of TN visa at border crossings, only in computer and engineering related fields. it used to be very easy, but from last year, 2 yrs after 9/11, it requires the full list of docs. the main reason is Canada's rejection of Iraqi War. since that time, many Canadians (Chinese, Black, Poor) are required a roundtrip ticket for visting by BUS. i believe it was starting from March 01, 2003, but the exact date could be wrong.

yes, $100 if fully refundable if you got rejected.
i have not failed once. the document is not difficult to prepare but so far, there is no LIST from any US official site telling you what to bring. i know the "operation manual" of the check points.
i will also teach you what to say at the border. you don't need to lie, but you have the right not to say more than they request.
just let you know, if you are a Computer Programmer, you got only 20% chance to get a TN, if you don't prepare the documents well. in the engineer case, the chance is higher.
