Just crashed my bike this afternoon in gatineau park

I was cycling on Cite Des Jeunes in gatineau park this afternoon when that happened. Around Mont Bleu, 5kms south of the Pink lake, there was a very sharp U-turn which was only 6-7 meters in diameter and it's concealed by the forests around.

I slammed on the brake and created 2 black marks on the ground 4-6 meters long. It wasn't able to stop the bicycle in time because I was doing over 50kmh and I had less than 10 meters to react. I crashed into the bush with my bicycle and broke two small trees before coming to a complete stop.

That caused three wounds on my arm, shoulder and leg, several dents on my helmet, and some disfiguration on my front wheel.

Anyway, there were enough people around at that moment and it didn't cause too much inconvenience afterward. I was able to cycle 60 kph downhill happily on the way back home.

Just beware that U-turn on Cite Des Jenues. There isn't any sign nearby and I saw quite some black marks on the road. It was indeed a surprise.

Yeah, I shouldn't ride a race bike on those narrow roads. Its tires don't have enough traction.

I just broke 60km/h on flat yesterday.
