什么呀，都是自己吓自己，我去机场半个小时不到办好了一切check in 的手续，而且连一个问题都没问，根本不象很多人说的那么恐怖。
you may not know that, because you Had several visas, and mostly short term visit, then you are ok. for some chinese here, they got canadian citizenship and want to go to usa to look for jobs. that is long term stay and they can not say it at border.
also, if you ever take bus via Niagara Falls or Buffalo, you will understand why they check bus ridders more. if you are in a car, it may take only 20 seconds, in a bus, at least 1 minute per person. i know why, because many bad things happened from bus ridders. there are ways to transport drugs/guns on bus without ever got caught. even after 9/11, they checked bus more, but still there are many blind spots. if you stay in car, they check what is under your car and what is in your car without letting you know. there is an xray machine, mainly for commercial trucks, but they start using it on cars now. it is not every accurate. there is also a camera behind your car and under your car. any way, i have seen so many things. i know all check points well, how many staffs, if they are from local or federal, what is the problem rate at the check points -- if they see more crimials in the past, they will check harder now. if everyday is peaceful, they will be lazy. there are also water ways, unstaffed open fields. you can basically cross at any place, however, there are new detectors installed at some points, and there are good spots where you can cross then go into the city and nobody will be fast enough to catch you -- the method mexicans use in southen cali. or there are no check points -- where local residents simply go across borders every day and the town is too remote that nobody even care to set up a check point. there are even trails in parks crossing borders and only park police will check once a while in a week.... it is so easy to travel between canada and usa undected.
