digital camera memory card？

Does different type of cards matter? Will a camera with CF card or SD/MMC card perform the same?

Yes, I know this. I am wondering how important the type of memory card is when choosing a D-camera.

For now, the CF and SD are the two major formats. (Sony use it's own memory stick which accepted by all sony digital products.) The performance b/w CF and SD are almost no difference. Currently, the CF has a better price/size ratio, and SD is psycailly much smaller, they both have pretty good future. (Other two formats: xD and smartmedia will be out of market, so don't choose them.)

I prefer SD, because it can also be used on lots of MP3 player and PDA. Most mp3 players take SD because CF is too big.

Thanks. SD is a bit expensive. But as you said, it can be used for others, which may compensate a bit.
