YBF: is immigration interview a good reason for US visa?

Thanks for the reply, ybf.
I am not sure if attending an Canadian immigration interview is a good reason for applying US visa, I kind of overheard somebody mentioning it is a bad reason, and "travel for leisure" is a better one. what is you opinion (other experienced guys, pls also give your advice.)

you need to book at least a month in advance since it's a peak season for travelling, i just booked for a friend, the earliest date they have is on Aug 20th, so if you plan to travel, you should book asap.
