Description: The Ministry of Community and Social Services' family responsibility office seeks an individual to join the IT department. You will: log requests/provide technical support in problem determination/resolution; operate in MS Windows 2000/IBM OS390 mainframe computing environment; conduct appropriate diagnostic procedures re client/software error/hardware malfunction; provide corrective measures, instruct client on necessary actions to achieve resolution; log problems/liaise with other government infrastructure groups/vendor partners to resolve larger issues; provide professional/dependable responses to clients, partners.
Qualifications: excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication skills applied in help desk support environment using Windows 2000 desktop/IBM OS390 technology; demonstrated knowledge/understanding of computer system methods/processes; expertise with MS Office 2000 applications, installing/configuring/testing desktop soft/hardware including peripherals/LAN printers; excellent communication skills; professional, courteous phone manner.
